Simon
SPECIALIST ORTHODONTIST
Simon is a registered specialist orthodontist with the Dental Council of New Zealand. Born, raised and educated in Blenheim, Simon is passionate about the local community and proud to be practicing orthodontics right here in Marlborough.
Simon graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Distinction) from the University of Otago in 2012. He worked as a Dental and Maxillofacial House Surgeon at Auckland and Middlemore Hospitals as well as a general dentist in the Bay of Plenty for several years before undertaking full-time specialist postgraduate training at the University of Otago, graduating with a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry.
Simon has a Fellowship in General Dentistry and a Membership in Orthodontics with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. He is certified with the Australasian Orthodontic Board, a member of the New Zealand Association of Orthodontists, and the New Zealand Dental Association. He is also involved in the Wish For a Smile charity that provides free access to treatment to those whose families would otherwise be unable to afford orthodontic care.
Marise
ORTHODONTIC AUXILIARY
Marise’s longstanding experience in specialised orthodontics is a huge asset to the Olliver Orthodontics team. Starting her career as a dental therapist, Marise moved into specialised orthodontics in 2016 and her kind and gentle nature is loved by patients. Passionate about people, community and giving back, Marise has spent time travelling and doing volunteer dental work in India and Morocco. When she’s not in the practice, you’ll find her in her garden, out walking and enjoying the fantastic lifestyle Marlborough has to offer.
Alyssa
ORTHODONTIC AUXILIARY
Alyssa initially joined the team as an assistant before becoming a qualified orthodontic auxiliary. On any given day you’ll find Alyssa taking records, adjusting braces and doing the digital tasks around the practice. With a passion for people, Alyssa’s happy nature makes every patient feel completely at ease from the moment they walk through the door. Starting her working career as a florist, Alyssa would love her own pickable flower garden one day.
Lydia
PRACTICE MANAGER
Originally an Environmental Manager, Lydia’s career has taken her everywhere from Tauranga to London and back here to Marlborough, where today she manages the daily operations of Olliver Orthodontics. Providing behind the scenes support for the team, Lydia manages general administration including invoicing, payroll and payments. Lydia is also the proud Mum of Zoe, and has a passion for nature, travel, and walking her dog, Olive.
